This exhibition introduces the concept ofan "unmanned" battlefield for the first time, with drones being themost striking feature. Recent combat experiences show that UAVs, especially FPVdrones, are characterized by low cost, rapid iteration, high numbers, fastspeeds, effective lethality, and difficulty in defense. In response to the rise of FPV technology,the Zhuhai Airshow showcased a range of counter-FPV "supertechnologies," including SDR (Software Defined Radio) technology. Unliketraditional methods that suppress drones through power, SDR technology employsalgorithms for precise jamming, significantly reducing power consumption andequipment size. Furthermore, SDR technology allows for remote updates ofcountermeasure devices to combat the continuously evolving FPV technology.China' s anti-drone technology has now entered a new era, shifting from"power is king" to "algorithm is king." Based on SDR technology, the Zhuhai Airshowpresented five scenarios for countering FPV:
Individual Anti-FPV and UAV: Designed forindividual combat needs, this solution is lightweight and efficient, ensuringthe safety of individual soldiers.
Team Anti-FPV and UAV: Suitable for teamoperations, this provides more comprehensive and broader security for groups.
Urban and Controlled Area Countermeasures:Focused on countering FPV and UAVs within city limits and restricted zones,this addresses FPV-related disturbances and ensures effective public securitycontrol.
Vehicle Anti-FPV and UAV: Tailored to meetcombat needs, this approach offers comprehensive effects, extensive coverage,and greater mobility, effectively protecting vehicles from FPV troubles.
Directional jamming ElectronicWall/Electronic Fence (ewall): This creates a directional UAV counter wall thatprevents UAVs from crossing, achieving the goal of protecting critical areaswithout disrupting normal wireless communication inside and outside thoseareas.
In addition, for anti-FPV and UAVs, theZhuhai Airshow also launched the Transmaker service, which is based on amagical SDR module. You just need to embed the module into your own designproducts, and you can use the same advanced technology to produce anti-FPV andUAVs products. This is expected to save more than 86% of the investment andwill also quickly boost the local manufacturing industry.
