Chinese anti-drone technology manufacturer AWP announced that it will debut its latest SDR anti-drone technology and products at the International Defense Exhibition (IDEX) in Abu Dhabi in February 2025.
Marketing director of AWP, Jordan, stated: “Traditional counter-drone technology, namely VCO, mainly relies on power suppression, which increases energy consumption and reduces equipment efficiency. As drones improve their anti-jamming capabilities (such as frequency hopping technology and MIMO antennas), the effectiveness of simple VCO technology has significantly decreased. AWP has continuously developed and introduced SDR technology, breaking this situation. This allows for more precise and effective interference with a drone's imagery, control, and satellite links, while also reducing overall power consumption, greatly enhancing effectiveness. Additionally, it can be upgraded remotely to counter the continuously evolving drone technology.”[International Defense Exhibition (IDEX)]
Based on its years of practical experience and SDR technology, AWP has also launched anti-drone products for various scenarios including individual soldiers, squad, vehicles, strategic locations, and the energy sector. Additionally, AWP has also consolidated its core technology into its developed SDR modules and introduced the Transmaker service, allowing overseas clients with manufacturing capabilities to produce anti-drone equipment locally.[International Defense Exhibition (IDEX)]
